mac. brand spaces secures multi-year framework agreement with Diehl Defence
Success for mac. brand spaces, the experts for live communication: The company has been awarded a multi-year framework contract by Diehl Defence for global trade fair construction and conception. This was announced by mac Managing Director Stefan Trieb.
“We are delighted that Diehl Defence has chosen us as its future live communication partner,” says Trieb. Diehl Defence is regarded as a leading system house in the field of air defense. As a partner of the German Armed Forces and international armed forces, the Überlingen-based company develops and supplies high-tech equipment in the areas of ground-based air defense, missiles, ammunition, training and protection systems.
The ILA (International Air Show) in Berlin (June 5-9) and Eurosatory in Paris (June 17-21) were the first two trade fairs for which mac is implementing the new global trade fair concept for Diehl Defence. Egypt, England, Greece and the United Arab Emirates are also on the program in the coming months. “The stand in Berlin is the largest with a size of 300 square meters, an additional area of 200 square meters in the chalet and 800 square meters of open space,” explains Timo Zühlke, Head of Account Management at mac.
The motto “Technology for peace and freedom” characterized the entire trade fair and stand concept. In addition to guided missiles and drone defense, a comprehensive security concept for critical infrastructure, such as stadiums, was also presented. “We have expanded the
previous trade fair concept ‘Living in a safe environment’ and packaged it into a holistic solution,” says Zühlke. There are suggestions for giveaways to match the concept, such as cell phone covers, patches and even umbrellas with “Secured in every aspect” printed on them.
To convey this sense of security to visitors, the brand was brought to life digitally with a multimedia approach. Matthias Solzbacher, Team Manager at mac, adds: “Our stand was very digitally oriented, with animated graphics, LED elements and animated screens.” The stand concept was also designed to be highly recyclable and modular in order to support the company’s sustainability strategy. “We designed elements to be modular so that they can be reused several times,” says Solzbacher.
