mac is honoured for company health management
mac. brand spaces, the live communication specialist from Langenlonsheim, has reached another milestone in workplace health promotion. After being awarded the bronze certificate just last year, the company has now received the silver ‘Healthy Company’ certification from AOK Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland. ‘The silver certification is a great recognition of our efforts to effectively and sustainably maintain the health of our employees and to organise healthy workplaces,’ says mac CEO Stefan Trieb.
‘My management colleague Jörg Bürkle and I are proud of the fact that we have achieved an increase in points in all seven areas of the BGM criteria catalogue,’ says a delighted Trieb. ‘Healthy employees make a significant contribution to a healthy and productive company. Our continuous efforts are paying off.’
The successfully implemented measures include the introduction of an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) with free advice on various areas of life, training for managers on dealing with addiction in the workplace, regular work situation analyses with the AOK, the appointment of Melina Stapelmann as company health manager and the continuous optimisation of workplaces. In addition, a dedicated communication channel was set up for occupational health management in order to disseminate offers and measures and promote employee surveys and participation.
‘The AOK is impressed by our progress in just one year between bronze and silver certification,’ says Trieb. ‘We are proud of our employees, who are actively involved in creating a healthy working environment.’ mac is now on its way to gold certification, the highest honour in occupational health management. ‘We want to continue to be a pioneer in workplace health promotion in the future and offer our employees an optimal working environment,’ says Stefan Trieb.
