Hat-trick for mac. brand spaces at the German Design Award
mac. brand spaces GmbH is celebrating an extraordinary success: the live communication specialist has been honoured with three German Design Awards in one go. ‘These awards are a great success for us and a confirmation of our strategy of creating innovative, customer-orientated brand presentations and combining them with a clear sustainability strategy,’ says a delighted Stefan Trieb. ‘Our aim is to create an experience with every presentation that combines design, functionality and responsibility and clearly contributes to the customer’s marketing objectives.’
Innovative stand architecture for Fraunhofer
With the SCIENCE STUDIO project, mac impressed with a modular and sustainable stand architecture for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, which was used for the first time at the Hannover Messe. The flexible brand architecture divides the space into clearly structured themed and functional areas and is supported by a specially designed furniture series. ‘With the SCIENCE STUDIO concept, we have successfully created a symbiosis between design, functionality and sustainability that is perfectly tailored to the diverse needs of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and its research and thematic landscape. Up to 95% of the stand elements are reusable, which conserves resources and minimises the ecological footprint,’ explains Matthias Becker, Director Design Consulting at mac.
Kömmerling at the Fensterbau Frontale 2024
The project for Kömmerling also won an award. At Fensterbau Frontale 2024, mac skilfully showcased the motto ‘Today for Tomorrow’. The 1,500 m² stand presented sustainable materials and modular displays that created an impressive, interactive experience. ‘Kömmerling’s strong brand message combined with innovative design and a clear commitment to sustainability resulted in a unique appearance,’ says Stefan Amschler, Creative Director responsible for the project. The experience was rounded off by an evening transformation into an event space, which finally immersed the trade fair stand in an emotional club atmosphere.
Roadshow „STOP WASHING. START ACTING.“
With its own roadshow ‘STOP WASHING. START ACTING.’, mac presented an interactive platform that focused on the future of live communication with a clear focus on sustainability and digitalisation. Visitors were able to immerse themselves in the current discourse on the transformation of the industry through panel talks and presentations.
‘This roadshow combines technology and sustainability in an impressive way. We have created a space for exchange and dialogue, a community place for the exhibitors’ marketing specialists, right where the action is. And it shows that design and responsibility can go hand in hand,’ emphasises Alexander Ody, Director Business Development. The sustainable design and reuse of materials, which mac used consistently, was particularly emphasised.
With the three honours at the German Design Award, mac underlines its role as a trendsetter in the field of sustainable and innovative live communication.
