mac. brand spaces, one of the leading providers of live communication, closes 2024 with an impressive turnover of 94 million euros – following on almost seamlessly from the record year of 2023. The company remains on course for growth and is investing strategically in new technologies, its locations and the further development of its workforce. “The fact that we were able to build on the exceptional figures of the previous year in 2024 surprised even ourselves,” explains Stefan Trieb, CEO of mac. brand spaces. “Live communication is stronger than ever – people want to meet in person and experience brands live. Our holistic concepts offer the perfect platform for this.”
mac is investing in the future of its locations: the existing building in Langenlonsheim, which is around 40 years old, is being extensively modernized – the roof, façade, building services and workspaces will be gradually renovated over the next four years. Despite the construction work, operations will continue uninterrupted. Investments are also being made in new production technology in order to further optimize production capacities. mac is also growing internationally. With the acquisition of Austrian company Standout GmbH at the end of the year, which employs around 140 people and generates annual sales of around 30 million euros, the company is strengthening its market position in Europe.
mac. brand spaces is increasingly evolving from a traditional stand builder into a full-service provider for brand presentations. In addition to exhibition stands, the company realizes tailor-made concepts for hybrid and digital live communication – from strategic consulting, design and architecture to technical implementation.
mac’s innovative strength was recognized in 2024 with several prestigious awards: three German Design Awards went to the “Science Studio” for the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, the “Today for Tomorrow” project for Kömmerling and the company’s own roadshow “Stop Washing. Start Acting.”, which also received a BrandEX Award in Gold.
mac relies on a comprehensive range of apprenticeships in the commercial and skilled trades. Every year, around 50 young people from various professions undergo training there. The company continues to invest in attractive working conditions and employee retention. In addition to flexible working time models, a family service was introduced to support employees in the event of care or nursing care bottlenecks. In addition, a company health insurance scheme was launched in 2025, which benefits all employees subject to social security contributions as well as trainees and temporary employees, regardless of their type of insurance. “Our employees are our greatest asset,” emphasizes Stefan Trieb. “That’s why we invest specifically in their health, their development and a modern working environment. We were awarded silver for our health management by the AOK as a healthy company.”
mac is also expecting a strong trade fair year in 2025. With projects at bauma, the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery, and Drinktec, the leading trade fair for the beverage industry, major international projects are once again on the agenda.
